The Style Studio - Fun & creative fashion courses for kids and children's parties

The next day we woke up at 6:30 and had to be downstairs in
the kitchen, by 7:00 at the very latest! to eat our breakfast.
For breakfast we could have any healthy food we liked and if
we wanted a cooked breakfast we could tell the chefs and
they would cook it from scratch for us!

We all all got to know the three chaperones that were looking
after us a bit more too, Liz, Mina and Vanessa. Liz and mina
were chaperones on one of the Harry Potter movies! We
thought that was pretty cool too!. Then we all had to have a
master class in design by a really famous fashion designer
called Ben De lisi!...to be honest we didn't know who he was
then, but we do now!.

After breakfast we had 1 hour to finish getting ready e.g. girly
things like, clothes, and jewellery not forgetting our HAIR!
Then we raced all down stairs to reveal our first challenge.
We got to the chill-out room where the crew told us our 1st
challenge was to design an outfit for one of Saturdays fashion
shoot! Then about 5 seconds later they all came through the
door ... at first we thought we were dreaming ... but after a
while it came back to us that we weren't dreaming at all!

To find out which of the Saturdays we would be designing for
we had to pick a shoe that belonged to a specific Saturday.
Our Saturday was ...MOLLIE! She was very nice. For mollie
we designed a white vest top with a pink neckline a waistcoat
and alot more...

Unfortunately we did not win this particuar challenge but two
girls (Ezoe and Seema) with amazing skills to draw and
instant thinking did win.

But if you saw the programme, you'll know that we actually
won a a really great prize for a different challenge and we won
tickets to go to The Nickleodeon Choice Awards and we were
picked up by a pink limo, got to walk down the orange carpet,
dress a famous presenter in our winning design, and we also
won backstage passes to meet celebrites such as i carly,
Aleshia Dixon and George Samson and so many others!. We
really couldn't believe that our love for fashion designing would
have brought us this far!.

We didn't win the big trip to LA to design for the Bratz dolls
but we have had so many opportunities since and learnt so
much from this great experience.

From taking part in the competition now know that even if you
are just a child, you can still be talented and your ideas are
still really important. If you want to try something new,
whether it's dancing or football or even fashion designing like
us then go on! Do it! Because you never know just where it
will take you! And you'll have lot's of fun finding out!.

Our Experiences At The Bratz Design Academy
On Nickleodeon TV!

We are very proud of 2 of our students from the Style Studio
who won places to compete in the Bratz Design Academy
on Nickeodeon TV! Well done girls!!

will keep you posted if there are opportunities to be on the
show in 2009.

Hi it's Tia and Ceylon!

We are Style Studio students, here to give you inside
information on our time at the "Bratz Design Academy".

It all started when the Style Studio told us that a TV company
had called them asking for help looking for young, child,
fashion Designers for a big tv competiton. We didn't know if
we would win if we entered, but thought that it was worth a try,
especially as the prize was to design for the Bratz dolls in
LA!.

We had so many interviews with TV people and child
phycoligists, we had to design mood boards too, and then
after ages! and ages! we were told that we were one of 5
couples that had got through, out of 250 other children that
had entered! We were so surprised! Because we were not at
all sure that we would be good enough to be fashion
designers, but the tv producers said that they loved our
fashion ideas and wanted us for the tv programme and this
made us really happy!. They told us to expect some really
fantastic, special things to happen when we come to film the
programme, it was all a surprise. We could'nt sleep until the
meeting day!.

When we arrived at the "windmill hotel" in Clapham South
west London, we both thought that this was where we were
going to stay for the whole time , and secretly we were a little
disappointed because we thought it looked very ordinary and
not very special, it was not what we had expected at all! But
after, a long meeting with the Tv producers and our
competitors about all the do's and don'ts , we finally went over
to the 6 � million pound house where we were really staying
for the next 2 � weeks, Oh and yes ! we did say 6 � million
pound house! . I know! Crazy huh!.

We were filmed as we went inside, the house was gigantic!
And soon after we were filmed meeting the ex Blue Peter
Presenter Zo� salmon, you know!, the pretty one with the long
blond hair . She had to welcome us at least 4 times before
getting it just right for the camera's, it a was really cool! We
felt like real celebrities!. After that we ate some food,
unpacked our suite cases and shortly went to bed to prepare
for a EXTREMLY busy day!!!
